If you love Deviled Eggs but you really just want to take them up a notch, these are the ones for you. It’s pretty standard recipe, but the simple act of dipping the eggs in a smoky seasoning before filling them, takes them over the top.
Coat the Rim Deviled Eggs
Servings: 12 Deviled Eggs
Ingredients
Yolk Filling Mixture
- 6 eggs hard boiled Yolks and white separated
- 4-6 tbsp mayo
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp dry mustard
- ½ tsp pickle juice
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp Paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp cayenne
Rim Coat
- 2 tsp seafood seasoning Like Old Bay
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp cayenne optional
Instructions
- Cut the eggs in half, remove the yolk and egg yolks to a bowl. Put the whites aside for the filling.
- Add all of the yolk filling mixture ingredients to a bowl and mix together. Add to a piping bag.
- In a small bowl combine all of the rim coating ingredients and place them in a shallow dish or plate.
- Dip the egg white into the coating ingredients and then place on a plate so they are ready for the filling.
- Fill the eggs with the yolk mixture and serve.
