Mediterranean flavors are probably my favorite and this pinwheels make the perfect appetizer for our family. The best flavors are packed into these little bit sized pastry servings. These are so delicious!
Mediterranean Pinwheels
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup pesto store bought or homemade
- 6-8 slices provolone cheese
- ¼ cup sun dried tomatoes chopped
- ¼ cup kalamata olives chopped
Instructions
- Thaw the puff pastry.
- Preheat the oven to 400℉
- Mix together the cream cheese, pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, kalamata olives and pesto in a small bowl.
- Roll out the puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface and spread the cream cheese mixture all over.
- Roll up the puff pasty and then cut into ½ inch slices. (You can freeze for 15-30 minutes before cutting to help it hold shape while cutting)
- Place the slices on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 17-18 minutes.
