We have never been fans of the cans of cream of soups. Something about the taste just isn’t right for me. But, there are some recipes that are just better with this ingredient. Did you know how incredibly easy it is to make? And you probably already have everything you need to make it.
Homemade “Cream of” soup
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 6 tbsp all purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup bone broth or chicken broth
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan.
- Add flour and make a paste.
- Add milk and broth.
- Cook over low heat until thickened. Add pepper to taste.
- You may want to add more milk when adding the other soup ingredients, depending on the thickness you desire.
