They’re crispy on the outside, soft and custardy on the inside, and perfect for little hands to dip into maple syrup. Best part? You can make a big batch ahead of time and freeze them for busy weekday mornings!

Whether you’re feeding toddlers, teens, or just trying to make your own mornings a bit more delicious, these French toast sticks deliver comfort food vibes with minimal effort. Plus, they’re made with simple ingredients you likely already have on hand — bread, eggs, milk, cinnamon, and a touch of vanilla.

French Toast Sticks

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your griddle to medium-high heat.
  • Whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla.
  • Dip each piece of bread into the mixture and cook on the griddle until golden brown, then flipping to cook the other side.
  • Move to a cutting board and cut each piece of french toast into 4's.
  • If freezing – freeze in a single layer with parchment in between each layer. Once frozen move to a freezer friendly bag.
