Regardless of whether you like brownie edges or the center more, this recipe is for you. These have a nice crusty exterior with a delicious chewy center. The coconut oil and almond extract add the best flavor.
Homemade Brownies
These brownies have the perfect amount of crunch on the outside and soft chewy texture on the inside.
Servings: 8 people
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups sugar sifted
- ¾ cup flour sifted
- ⅔ cup cocoa powder sifted
- ½ cup powdered sugar sifted
- ¾ tsp salt sifted
- 2 eggs whisked
- 2 tbsp milk use water if desired
- ½ cup coconut oil melted
- ½ tsp almond or vanilla extract
- ½ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325℉
- Liberally spray an 8 inch baking dish, put parchment paper in the dish and spray that as well.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together the dry ingredients (1 ½ cups of sugar, ¾ cup flour, ⅔ cup cocoa powder, ½ cup powdered sugar, and ¾ tsp salt). I like to sift all of my ingredients to make sure there are no clumps.
- In another bowl, mix together wet ingredients (2 eggs, 2 tbsp milk , ½ cup coconut oil and½ tsp almond or vanilla extract).
- Combine wet and dry ingredients but don't overmix.
- Add in chocolate chips.
- Pour mixture into your baking dish.
- Bake for 40-45 min.
- Let the brownies cool before you take them out of the baking dish and cut them.
