Mar 10, 2024 | Crock Pot, Side Dishes

If you like using your crock pot for side dishes, this is one to try! If you want to make it even easier, pick up a balsamic glaze at the grocery store and you can even skip the part on the stovetop.

Watch me make this here!

Balsamic Brussel Sprouts in the Slow Cooker

Servings: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 lb brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Place brussels sprouts into slow cooker. Stir in olive oil and season with salt and pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and red pepper flakes. Top with butter.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 3-4 hours or high for 1-2 hours.
  • To make the balsamic reduction, add balsamic vinegar and brown sugar to a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer and reduce by half (it takes around 6-8 minutes), then set aside and let it cool.
  • Serve brussels drizzled with balsamic reduction and topped with Parmesan cheese.
