Savory Chicken Thighs (Crock Pot Freezer Meal)

Ingredients

Chicken Bag

  • 1 lb chicken thighs with fat trimmed
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning

Sauce Bag

  • ½ cup bone broth
  • 1 tbsp coconut aminos or soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp arrowroot powder, tapioca flour or cornstarch

Instructions

Freezer bags

  • Write instructions on bags and label.
  • Combine thighs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, paprika and italian seasoning in a freezer bag.
  • Combine sauce ingredients into a separate bag.
  • Place about 2 tbsps of the sauce, into the bag with the chicken thighs.
  • Freeze

Cooking

  • Thaw bags. Put the thighs and seasonings into the crock pot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high 3-4 hours.
  • Dump the liquid from the crock pot that has accumulated into rice or potatoes or pasta that you are cooking.
  • Put the sauce into the crock pot with the thighs and cook for 30 more minutes.
  • Garnish with green onion or thyme.
