Chili Dog Pigs in a Blanket

Ingredients

  • 6 Hot Dogs Whatever kind you prefer
  • 1 package Crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups chili Homemade or store bought. We prefer a no-bean chili for this recipe
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp green onion for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°
  • Cut hot dogs into thirds and cut each crescent roll in half, lengthwise.
  • Roll the crescent dough around the hot dog pieces and arrange in rings around the outer edges of a cast iron skillet leaving a hole in the center of the skillet.
  • Bake 15 minutes until the dough turns a golden color.
  • Add the chili to the center of the cast iron skillet and top with 1/2 cup of cheese and bake for another 7-8 minutes until everything is heated through and the cheese is melted on the top.
  • Top with green onions for color if desired.
  • For serving: Tear off a "pig in a blanket" and dip into the cheesy chili!
