Preheat oven to 375°
Cut hot dogs into thirds and cut each crescent roll in half, lengthwise.
Roll the crescent dough around the hot dog pieces and arrange in rings around the outer edges of a cast iron skillet leaving a hole in the center of the skillet.
Bake 15 minutes until the dough turns a golden color.
Add the chili to the center of the cast iron skillet and top with 1/2 cup of cheese and bake for another 7-8 minutes until everything is heated through and the cheese is melted on the top.
Top with green onions for color if desired.
For serving: Tear off a "pig in a blanket" and dip into the cheesy chili!
