Preheat the oven to 350℉
In a mixing bowl, beat together all of the cake ingredients (cake mix, apple pie filling, vanilla, cinnamon, eggs and nutmeg). I personally like to try and crush up the apples a bit with my whisk.
Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish and bake for 40 min.
Poke holes in the cake with a straw or something small with a blunt end, about an inch apart.
Heat up the salted caramel topping for just a couple of seconds to make it easier to pour. Pour over the entire cake and let cool.
Add the heavy cream to a bowl and mix until you get stiff peaks being careful not to overmix. Add in the powdered sugar a little at a time until its incorporated.
Add to the top of the cake.
Sprinkle with a little bit more cinnamon.
