Dry Cake Mix Ingredients

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients (we make this and keep in the pantry)

  • 2 ¼ cups flour we use unbleached, all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Wet ingredients (add before you bake)

  • 1 cup milk buttermilk is optional
  • 1 cup melted coconut oil you can use other oils if you want
  • 4 eggs room temp (especially if using coconut oil)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

To make the dry ingredients

  • Combine all of the dry ingredients in a bowl and store in an air tight container.

To make the cake

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Take your dry ingredients and beat in all of the wet ingredients.
  • For cakes, pour into greased cake pans or a greased 9x13 pan. For cupcakes, pour into your greased muffin tins or cupcake liners.
  • Cakes will bake for 20-25 min and cupcakes will bake for 15-20 min
